Kelynack.f in the Pathological department of the Manchester Royal Infirmary, found 18 examples of Meckel's diverticulum amongst 1,446 subjects, i.e., 1 in 80, or not quite I per cent. The average distance from the ileo-caecal valve was 34? inches, the average length was nearly 2J inches ; in all cases the diverticulum communicated with the ileum, and, generally speaking, it was at right angles to the bowel, and on the side opposite the mesentery.
